About The Hand OT

Hi, I’m Gabby. I’m a Senior Occupational Therapist with over 15 years of experience supporting people through hand and upper‑limb injuries, pain, and complex conditions. After completing my Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at Curtin University, I’ve spent the majority of my career working in Western Australia’s major trauma hospital, specialising in plastics and reconstructive surgery and developing deep expertise in the rehabilitation of the hand and wrist.

I’m a member of Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) and the Australian Hand Therapy Association (AHTA), where I’ve contributed to workshops, seminars, and professional development for therapists across Australia. I’ve also facilitated splinting workshops, provided training and education, and completed extensive additional learning in the management of upper‑limb conditions - from acute trauma to long‑term, complex cases.

My passion has always been helping people regain confidence and independence in their everyday lives. I bring a warm and empathetic approach to every session, ensuring clients feel supported and understood throughout their treatment and recovery.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me at the beach, spending time with my two children, or catching up with friends and family. I love Pilates, tennis, and making the most of WA’s sunshine. These parts of my life shape the way I practise - with balance, kindness, and a genuine commitment to helping people feel their best.
